Our Origin
The story behind
'hayan gieok'
The name hayan gieok translates to ‘White Memory’ — a conceptual nod to the purity of un-tanned, flawless skin before it was marked by environmental stress, pollution, and intense sun exposure.
“We set out to create a ‘clinical-meets-clean’ paradigm – where science doesn’t strip, and nature doesn’t disappoint.”
Born out of a personal frustration with the skincare market, our founder — an aspiring creator and entrepreneur working out of the intense heat of Hyderabad — noticed a glaring gap in the industry. The market was flooded with two extremes: aggressive, skin-stripping chemical bleaching creams that caused severe redness and irritation, or gentle organic products that smelled nice but did absolutely nothing for deep sun tans.
Determined to find a middle ground, we completely skipped the unstable, harsh acids. Instead, we focused on medical-grade, hyper-stabilized antioxidants like L-Glutathione and Kojic Acid Dipalmitate, buffering them inside a deeply soothing, pH-balanced syndet base.
hayan gieok isn’t just skincare. It is an intentional, minimalist ritual designed to restore your skin to its original, radiant memory.
Formulation Logic
The three pillars
PILLAR 01
Actives
Multi-Pathway Brightening Complex
Kojic Dipalmitate, Alpha Arbutin, and Licorice Root Extract attack tyrosinase from three different angles, while Niacinamide blocks melanosome transfer at the surface. No single-active guesswork — a stacked, dermatologist-logic approach to fading tan and pigmentation.
PILLAR 02
Exfoliation
Dual-Action Renewal
A mild dose of Salicylic Acid (BHA) clears pore debris and dead cell buildup, paired with micronized Rice Powder for gentle physical polish. Chemical and physical exfoliation working together, calibrated low enough to avoid the redness typical of stripping scrubs.
PILLAR 03
Base
Barrier-First Syndet Foundation
Built on the same pH-balanced (5.2–5.5) SCI syndet base as the rest of the line, enriched with Shea Butter and Cetyl Alcohol. Skin is treated, not stripped — every wash supports the barrier instead of compromising it.
HAYAN GIEOK
The Ritual
A slow, deliberate cleanse - not a scrub. Four steps, once or twice daily, for skin returning to its original memory.

Wet the skin, wet the bar
Use lukewarm water — never hot. Heat strips the same barrier this formula is built to protect. Let both your skin and the bar sit under running water for a few seconds before you begin.

Work it into a lather
Rub the bar between damp palms, or glide it directly along tanned or uneven areas, until a soft lather forms. Let the lather — not the bar itself — do the work of carrying the actives across the skin.

Massage, don't scrub
Circle the lather over the skin for 30–60 seconds, giving the brightening complex time to sit before rinsing. This is a cleanse with intention, not a scrub — the micro-exfoliants are already doing the physical work quietly.

Rinse fully, then seal
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until no residue remains. Pat — don't rub — dry, then follow immediately with a moisturizer to lock in what the barrier-support base just protected. Close the ritual with SPF if it's a morning wash.
Use once daily to start. As skin adjusts, twice daily – morning and night – for the full multi-pathway effect.
